Stars

What can we do except reach out to the stars

And admire their unique beauty

You can’t know how far away stars are unless someone tells you

And even then you can’t understand the magnitude of the distance they say

It makes finding the missing person seem all the more possible

But the lost one all the more doleful

Knowing the billions of stars billions of miles away

Are closer to you than they are

Just a few feet below

I try really hard to not write angsty stuff, but that seems to be a theme for me. I love painting and guitar, but writing’s pretty fun too!
