Stars
You trace constellations
on my back
using the freckles dotting my shoulder blades
as stars.
Your fingers brush against my arm
and I feel the weight of your touch
deep in the hollow of my bones.
You look into me
searching for my soul,
your eyes burning brighter
than any ball of light
found under my skin.
Your smile instantly sets the room ablaze.
Your laugh starts the fire within me.
Your words hold my flame gently in your hands.
When you leave,
I burn away
dwindling until nothing is left but heat.
But you're never gone for long
and my spark grows
far exceeding stars.
I am nebulas,
skies of glittering beams.
I am universes
all revolving and gravitating
around you.
You are the sun,
You start the fire,
You hold me in your hands
and I am stars
