The Start of the End

From the moment we came, to the moment we leave,

We ask ourselves, did we do something,

Could what I had possibly done have made a difference?

Or was the action as vague as my own exsistence,

From lending a hand, to making a stand,

Is this the start of the end?

Or could it be something completely different,

Would we actually be deliberate,

We each started as a young child,

Yet, we grow out of it after awhile,

What if one could still be of innocence,

Could that really make a difference?

We would stop and help one another,

No longer would we ignore our fellow brother,

So if our start has to come to an end,

Why not stop, and be a friend?
