POETRY helped me read.

I hated long words,

I hated long sentences,

But I saw something simple.

POETRY helped me read.

To me it’s quick,

To me it’s to the point,

But I learned it’s deeper.

When in English class I had to write,

When in reading class I had to read,

But all I wanted to do was Poetry.

Without it my life will be slower,

Without it my life would have no words,

But now I can do so much more.
