The start of something new
THE START OF SOMETHING NEW
Summer of 2012
The time I would finally be all on my own
Who knew Hampton University would be my new home
For four years I would reside in the dorms
Only trying to get away from all those bug swarms
Even when it was 100 degrees outside and I had to walk
I would always make the best of it and get my friends so we can talk
I was so happy that the campus was not so big
It was so easy for me to rush back whenever I needed too
Summer was over and it was time for everyone to pack up and leave
But I did not think there was a point to grieve
I knew that we would all be back in the fall
The time is getting closer where I have to go back to school
And I promised my mom and dad that I would not act like a fool
There I go all by myself for a whole year
This really was the start of something new
