Started From The Top

Started from the Bottom, Now we here? Sorry my dear, can't agree with that there. We were Kings and Queens before we knew it Building and ruling things, what ever happened to it? Nowadays my people act like they forgot that black it beautiful Don't let the idea of "light skin" is the right skin ruin you We started from top, now nearly extinct Think about it, we disappearing leaving no receipt Single homes, mothers on welfare Men not fathering kids they bought in here Kids having kids, and they say it's okay Black on Black violence never went no where Drugs, Money, and Power; another way to make our race fade away Embrace yourself, and what you stand for Because you not only represent yourself, but the many black people that are to come So set an example, and pave the way Because we are history in the making
