Starvation can't conquer death

As I looked out my window this morning,

I saw many children giving a warning

They looked sad as their stomach was tight,

barely able to give a fight let alone one last bite

One by one they fell to the ground,

not even their parents could hear their sound

They were selfish from within,

they would keep food to theirself instead of giving to the thin

The depressed children looked far away,

wishing they were free to this very day

Why are they leaving the little ones this way

alone in the world ready to decay

No one gave a thought to them

that's why they are dying within

Many of them don't know love

because they experienced that people only know how to shove

Maybe one day they will eat again

if only there wasn't selfish men
