Starving Artist
I want to be a
Starving artist.
I want to be the starving artist
Who runs out a couple times a day for their project.
I want to be the starving artist who
Only runs for house supplies once a week,
Who comes home with only a few bags of fruits and vegetables.
I want to be a
Starving artist.
I want to be the starving artist
Your parents don’t want you to be,
Who they don’t want you to like.
I want to be the starving artist
Who won’t sleep or eat or..
Until their project is finished.
I want to be the starving artist who
Writes successfully and finishes projects
At the same time.
I want to be a
Starving artist.
I want to be the starving artist who
Sings so beautifully that people
Stop outside my window.
I want to be the starving artist who
You worry about through enjoyment
From the art they produce.
I want to be a
Starving artist.
I want to be the starving artist
You know has enough money to live
But chooses struggle.
The one who lives in a
Minimalistic studio and clothes from a thrift store.
I want to be a starving artist.
I want to be a starving artist.
I want to be that starving artist.
