Static
I am
Generic poem structure
Wrapped in thinly conveyed metaphors to let you know I am black and southern
I am black and southern
Deep fried b boy
Finger licking nigga child
Nappy boy with barbecue
Carolina barbecue sauce with the slaw
I am tarheel
Bare foot asphalt babies.
The bible belt
Ain't fat nigga friendly.
I am fat nigga
With an ego to match
Swiss cheese like
It ain't bulletproof
I ain't bulletproof
I got a low tolerance for pain
But this black body got a high tolerance for led
I am black
And I get reminded by sirens
Blue tint make me look less human
More monster
I am monster
But I hide my vulture behind this concrete smile
I polish it
With blunt ashes and orange soda
I am my father's child
But I make sure my bars hit harder than punches
I got small hands
So I make sure I every word packs a punch
Every word more purposeful than the next
My rap name used to be purpose
Like idle reason for breathing
Like a skipped song
Like highlighted scripture
When I was 12
I told Keon Howe I will be the best rapper walking
That I would heave hip hop on my shoulders
And walk the same road Jesus did
On his last day
I am also liar
I am quoter of Black Dynamite
Pootie Tang disciple
Virgil Hawkins spawn
Too much lightning in these veins to lie on
I only wrote this poem
Because i forgot everything that makes me
Me
I am not my past
My father's empty bottles
I am not gargoyle behind the steering wheel
I am god
Full fledged deity
I am the dreadhead nigga in your lobby
Posted up with an orange soda and a bucket hat
I am buckshot
Buckteath
Teeth grafitit stained like I got project buildings in my mouth.
I am project baby
Wood grain
Two toned
Candy paint
Butterfly doors
Skittles grill
Nelly blasted
I am battle rap slogan
A Showoff nigga
The difference between being Goodz and being God
A sike I told the truth
Showtime with no cable like Shameless
"Like don't ask why they call me Showoff nigga
It's 3 reasons
One being"
When I was little I was told to stuff my holy into mason jars
I only did it because it was easier than catching fireflies
And way more beautiful to stare at
