Static

Your voice feels so far away Like a song playing in an empty mall Echoing in the halls The cheery melody of you laughter feels so haunting You're face is like a photograph lost to time The edges yellowed and blurring My memories are fading being washed away by time Who are you? Who were you? Your personality is mottled and unclear. Static buzzes where our joy used to be. Distant yet so close. Maybe it is time for the radio to be turned off. But then where will our music go? I can't remember it anyway. You are static.
