Statu of Esse (State of Being)

I am the lonely soul

that has never felt warmth

the torn fabric

ripped apart by verbal abuse

the kink only heard in statistics

the forgotten penny

in the bottom of your pocket

my backbone is sturdy

like a table with no nails

I am the puppy

searching for your gratification

rather than a treat

my personality

wants to be molded by your demands

my heart screams silently for you

while you hate its existence

Now I can only see your smile

next to the most perfect stranger

in a distance
