The Statue


She sat in the corner A motionless form She tried to be normal She tried to conform But she was a statue Her face just a mask The people all noticed But no one dared ask They all called her selfish They all called her cold For no hug could she give No hand could she hold But she was a statue It wasn't her fault Their callous words started Her inward assault She hated her body She hated her soul She hated not having One bit of control She sat in her corner And started to cry The people all noticed But no one asked why
