Stay Strong

My mom and dad gave me up when I was 6 years old

They didn’t kill my body but they killed my soul

I always thought this was all just a dream

But little did I know it was reality

People telling me it will be alright

Telling me what to do, and how to live my life

My life felt like it was going down

Because no one was there, no one was around

Got tears rolling down my cheeks

Telling myself "shit I can’t last anymore weeks"

So I made a plan for what i'll do

Knowing that no one would have a clue

Well here I stand, I’m almost ready

Thinking to myself "shit its scary"

Knowing if I do it, ill kill my sorrows

Thinking "yes I don’t have to see tomorrow"

But then all of the sudden something stopped me

I thought to myself,” would this be the only way for me to be happy"

I thought about my family and friends

The ones that there till the end

I began to cry....

But my tears were dry

I cried my whole life knowing what I was doing wasn’t right

All I want is for u to see who I am

And who I want to be

People telling who I am and not

Acting as if I’m a toy that could just bought

But let me take this time to say how I feel

And what’s on my mind do you understand my pain?

Or is this all just a little game?

Games for broken dreams? can u hear my voice? My screams?

Can’t you see I’m falling apart?

Do you have a soul? You have a heart?

Well if this is all just a little game

Let me say you lost, because I’m not the same

I might not be the smartest person in the world but I’m now a woman, not a girl

I’m going to prove everybody wrong stay true to myself and stay strong
