Steadfast

Sometimes I feel like stepping down...

Sometimes I just can't find another way out...

But when I know my heart is bleeding...

I go to the one whose strength carries me on...

The darkest hour when light is gone...

The rain disguises all my tears...

My heart is racing like a rocket...

I kneel down and cry out in fear........

(chorus)

I want to be steadfast and strong.

I'll be the light in the darkest night...

Guiding the lost home.

You'll find me on the front lines

Leaving all of my doubts behind.

I never have to be alone

As long as I'm steadfast and strong.

Enemies stand firm all around me...

Escape is a distant dream...

I raise my hands and call on you to guide me...

My doubts all fall to the ground...

When I'm alone I need you near...

Come into my heart and make me whole...

I surrender my pride to you, LORD...

In your presence I'll live forevermore...

(chorus)

My feet in the dirt...

Sweat on my brow...

My sword raised high...

Victory comes now...

Hebrews116

I love writing songs... simple as that. I enjoy writing stories as well. In fact, most of these songs are written for my story called "Citerium". I hope everyone enjoys these... And in case anyone is wondering, my favorite song that I have written is called "Shadow Dance".
