Stealing from the Hood

Once upon a time there lived a man

Vested in green with a brave heart

A moral compass unshaken

With the belief to be just

To some, he was a bandit

And to others their savior

He became the law

When the land lost its order

Alas! With power comes greed

So take heed young Robin

To the wealthy men who

Cower at the sound of your name

But Robin stole twice more

Instead of giving back to the poor

He became rotten to his core

Oh! What do they know?

Their old and weak

No longer a savior

Robin’s compass began to crack

The land began to rust

At the mercy of their new ruler

Who was no longer just
