Steamy Wet Dreams

The songs that you sang in the shower

haunt my broken sleep.

Wet dreams of someone

in far too deep

And in my dreams, I cower

behind curtain, fog, and steam.

In fevered dreams

you melodies sing lower than

moon beams.

Hair hangs down in dripping cords.

In my dreams, it makes no sound.

Your silence slices like cold steel swords.

You towel comes unwound.

And the songs that you sang in the shower

haunt my broken sleep.

Tuneful night-terrors

dragging me out into the dreadful deep.

I'm from South Dakota and I love poetry. In every spare moment I am composing lines to new works in my head, and I am always working to gain inspiration from everything around me. I play the piano, guitar, ukulele, banjo, and percussion. I love to draw and I love anything that involves zombies. Someday I will see the world.
