Steel Butterfly

A wonderful steel butterfly

flutters by the way.

Notice how she joyously

makes along. They say

she's moving on to the next bouquet,

Fly, oh fly steel butterfly

elegantly ahead your wake.

Amaze the beholders with an eye

that doubts your ability to move at will and soar.

One cannot crush her with a hand,

she'll fight back or she'll escape.

She won't be taken under control,

that wonderful steel butterfly.

Fly, oh fly steel butterfly

elegantly ahead your wake.

Amaze the beholders with an eye

that doubts your ability to move at will and soar.

Living through each moment

worthy of the ride

and all of the bitter ones

drenching as they might,

she's ready to move on

when the time is right.

That's the beauty of the steel butterfly,

her freedom, will, and flight.
