Step Up
These days
We wait
For something to happen
We wait for Fridays
We wait to be seniors
We wait to go to college
We wait for the perfect relationship
We wait for happiness
Thinking all of this will drop right into our laps
But it won't
You have to step up
Step up and sieze the day
Sieze what little time you have
And make a difference
Don't you want to be remembered?
Leave some footprints?
Make an impact?
Step up
You have a light
You have a voice
You have rights
Express yourself
Step up
Step up and show people who you are
Never back down
Be courageous
Be strong
Be you
Step up

Your Poem's Voice
Blends personal waiting anxieties with abstract philosophical call to action
Dense accumulation of ideas: procrastination, self-actualization, courage, identity packed tightly
Overwhelmingly positive: empowering message despite initial negativity of waiting
Explosive imperative voice with repeated 'step up' commands and exclamatory questions
Approximately 25-28 lines; falls in 16-30 range
Minimal ornamentation; mostly declarative with 'drop into laps' and 'leave footprints' as main figures
Shifts from lyric introspection to dramatic motivational speaker addressing audience directly
