The step through marching band
Here lies the story of a teenage girl
Green eyes, brown hair, with a bit of a curl
She can be very quiet, shy and sweet
Likes to be nice to everyone she meets
Always looking for the good in the bad
She kept a smile on her face even when sad
Loves her family, and the band members too
She will always cherish the red and blue
This is the picture of her highschool years
With marching band stories and the final tears
It all began in 2011
Standing at band camp scared out of heaven
With only four other eighth graders
We worked our hardest to be great players
Making state for the first time in years
Giving the seniors many, many tears
One last time to march with my big sister
Oh how dearly I knew I would miss her
Witchcraft and Wizardry was a great show
But the year finally came to a close
Fast forward to 2013
We took a step into a time machine
Inspired was our show, playing the Beatles
The sound we made was not very feeble
This year a new great challenge came to be
Bands of America was the place to see
We went to nationals and got top 10
Proudly we marched at state finals again
Making school history we got a one
Knowing that we were finally done
2014 was Salvations year
It sure did create a lot of cheer
Marching at Pittsburg, and making the news
No one on the field was feeling the blues
Our shirts created a lot of gossip
But our music created more toss up
Off to state finals once again we went
Hoping to do our best at this event
And there we accomplished getting straight ones
Ending the season with a lot of fun
2015 I’ll never forget
The places we went I will not regret
Winning Bands of America regional
Had Seemed very unthinkable
As being undefeated all season long
‘Twas something we worked for and came out strong
Standing on the field at state for one last time
I knew that I was finally at my prime
The memories I made are very dear
Leaving me standing with a final tear
So here I tell you my fellow friends
Always keep going around the bend
Because you’ll never know the places you’ll go
