Stepping into a New Life

I was born and then I grew

Into something completely new

I was young and now I am old

with no hand to hold

I will soon be alone

with no support

In that moment I knew

I’m no longer young anymore

I do work and do taxes

but not homework or subtraction

But deep inside I know

This was meant to happen
