He shut the doors.
Closed his eyes.
Forgot his sister.
Forgot the lies.
the violence and the pain.
Forgot her name.
She shut the world out.
Stopped believing.
Believing the lies.
Never letting go of her trying times.
Living on the edge.
Tempting fate.
They refused reality.
Forgot the father they hardly had.
She took two steps forward.
He took two steps back.
he survived.
she fell.
she died.
