Steps in the right direction

Each day is bold

Each day is new

Today I discovered

I am bold, too

I tried a new thing, heaven forbid

Today I did something

That I never knew I would as a kid

Today I sit here, all alone

Hopeless and frantically applying for loans

I write you this poem

Ignorant to such matters

Only hoping that someday soon

My financial wall shatters

College is new

College is bold

I pray they my scholarship search

Does not turn cold
