Sticky Note Poem

The boy Visited the girl. He brought her flowers; Roses, as red and vibrant As her auburn hair Shimmering in the sun. He talked about the moment That they fell in love Thee years ago And how she was so perfect And he was so flawed Because he couldn't let go. But the girl said nothing. The boy Visited the girl With more flowers; Pansies, small and perfect Like her lips Puckered while sipping leomande In the sticky, hot summer. He spoke about the moment That they shared their first kiss Quietly and softly Underneath the same stars They laid under now. But the girl said nothing. The boy Visited the girl With special flowers; Bleeding hearts, both beautiful And broken Because that was how She made him feel. He talked about the time They fought ferociously About the shade of green To paint the baby's room And he apologized For choosing emerald Instead of lime. But the girl said nothing. The boy Visited the girl For the final time With more flowers. Daisies, pure and white And cold Like her skin Still and dead Lying beneath the earth. He did not talk; He simply wept Silently and alone. He placed the daisies On top of her grave And left her there To forever say Northing.
