Still

A time when everything is still

Nothing bends to the force of the will

The fortune wheel stops turning

Long ago, people stopped learning

Life is at a murky, still, stagnate

There is no "on time", early or late

No one questions the why

And like mindless livestock, we die

Moving together in a herd of sheep

Our chance of redemption fallen too deep

The future has no hope

The wheels have rusted too far to cope

Children age knowing nothing better

Lies and falsities to the letter

History books tell a tale

Pure fantasy, ignoring truth for the sale

But in years, fantasy becomes fact

As lies told too long to act

People believe as truth, the lie

And with that true lie, they die

With the past forever changed

The future becomes rearranged

People turn puppets

to watch with tea and crumpets

It turns into a time when everything stands still

Nothing moves and nothing ever will
