Still Cold

Location

In this darkness I fall

Deeper, deeper, and deeper

Into a world without understanding

I cry tears that fill the oceans

And yet I go unseen

Hey, you there!

Where is this land of peace and love?

Where is the warmth in this land that

Was once my home?

When will you see the wrong

in the righteous world you live in?

I walk upon this earth with sickness in my heart.

Sickness for the hatred seething through your bones

Sickness for the prejudice in your heart

Where is the love that once filled my lungs

with a breath of fresh air?

Where is the love that I once felt deep into my core?

All of it gone.

And I sit here

In the cold

Waiting, waiting, waiting

To feel warmth again
