Still Living

There once was this little girl who was filled with hope

Her life was perfect, she had no reason to mope

Days consumed with smiles and laughs

Perhaps this was because she did not yet have a past

The little girl began to grow

Mean comments her friends started to throw

The hope she had was slowly fading

She hated herself due to their downgrading

Now this little girl had scissors in her hands

Bad thoughts in her mind, she knew her mom would understand

She put the weapon up to her neck

She wanted to end what everyone else thought was a trainwreck

But this little girl was never alone

There was one who still cared and He was sitting upon His throne

He filled her with a new hope, and told her that she was forgiven

"I have a plan for your life, there's a reason you're still living"
