Stitch

Am I destined to be
Floating upon a cloud, drifting away?
Can you not see me,
Not help me?
Do you know where I am going?
For I haven't a clue.
And where are you going?
I can see you fade away.
Is the space between us going to get bigger?
Or can there be
A little stitch?
That's all we need
To learn how to sew.
Will you take this needle
While I get some thread?
And we can restore this friendship,
Good as new.
