Stockholm Syndrome

dumped all my demons in the trunk of my beat up car

now my reflection is riding shotgun

home again

driving through the familiar highways

of blood-smeared messages

& love-notes

“Ugly pig”

my hair flew away with the breeze

and she has my scalp in her dirty fingers

my legs in her clutches

trapped

But I have Stockholm syndrome
