Stolen

There is a stain on my soul

Because of actions that were not my own

They say it gets better with time

But time will not heal my wounds

For he stole something I cannot take back

Their words keep me down

They echo in my mind

Liar liar

It haunts my mind

Day and night

They say the truth sets you free

But this time

The truth holds me captive

Longing for what was stolen

But now I have overcome

I am no longer kept captive
