Stolen Flower

A king in his castle

With queen by his side

And child rocking

To a sweet lullaby

The picture-perfect family

With their secrets kept dark

Must face the evil

That bore their crown heir

For the queen was as barren

As the desert wasteland

And the king was not faithful

To his beloved land

His greed and his lust

Brought him to bed

With a powerful fairy

That now wants him dead

Stealing the babe

Away in the night

The king brought home

Aurora his light

Her mother cried out

With a vengeance so fierce

And rushed to the castle

To curse the king’s plan

Three gifts were given

Before the curse fell

And Aurora would never

See either as mother or dad

Sixteen years sheltered

The princess grew

Until the day came

When the needle struck true

No prince could wake her

From enchanted rest

Nor king or queen

Save her mother’s true kiss

Stolen away from a father

That sought her for power

Aurora lived happily

With her mother forever
