Stolen Morning Prayer

In Your presence,

My hair stands on end

And my spirit is glad, even though

My heart is heavy.

I miss my family,

And I miss the simple life

That we had in our hidden valley.

You are my Master,

Being so, let me serve You.

You are my Father.

Being so, hold me close.

Please hear what I'm trying to say.

Everything is coming,

And I can't stand on my own.

Lord, help me!

I am sick with evil.

I feel my disease so deep within me.

Don't let my life embarrass You.

Give me music once more,

And let me sing.

McKenzie Romero

I'm the oldest daughter of the Romero family. I love my God, my family, my friends, and, uh... food. I also like to write little snippets of nonsense when they come to me, so I guess I'm a poet of sorts. (Also: Some of my poems, now that I look back, were legit hormone-fueled... but I posted them anyway 'cause I have OCD and everything must be in its place, so if I wrote it *pbbbt*, it's in there). Thanks for reading my stuff! It means a lot!
