Stone

Do you understand what feelings are?

And that other people get them too?

Do you know we all have battle scars

Proof of all that we've been through?

Do you know that live hearts do care?

An breathe and cry and sigh?

And grow lonely and hurt when you're unawares

And in the absence of love, will die

Then why is your back still turned, and your hands still over your ears?

Are you just keeping yourself alive?

Then don't waste our time, calling us dear

If you'll so easily push us behind

For we've only got a single heart

That can only live one time

So we'll seek out those who won't break it apart

And to the rest, we must say goodbye
