Stone Cold

Agonizing fates; intertwined intervenes

Little word, to an unwanted world—

In the face of justice, I tell you

This is not the right time.

Let me hear you say it now

How I was supposed to pledge upon myself—

Twisted lies and twisted truths

Just so you could survive.

I’m trapped- enclosed in a stone cold barrier

My words can’t escape this prison—

First word “HELP” second is “ME”

Why would you do this to someone who cared?

Don’t understand; don’t recognize

What in the world am I to say—?

I was there, and here, for the same reason

The one reason that you’d always deny.

So why are you lying; what are you hiding

Just put this misery to rest—

I can help you, but first I need answers

On reasons that hide in between the lines.

Because you’re trapped- enclosed in a stone cold barrier

Your words can’t escape this prison—

First word “HELP” second is “THEM”

What do you own up to now?

Want to help; But won’t allow

Stop pushing everyone away—

Are you upset because of a mistake?

Regret you can no longer face?

I can see the fear inside you

Bursting from its seams to reveal—

But in this moment, in this time

There is nothing that should stay secret.

Because the truth is trapped- enclosed in a stone cold barrier

Its words and evidence can’t escape this prison—

First word “STOP” second is “LYING”

You don’t need to hide anything anymore.

So let love come before life; and live it at peace

Because no matter how hard you try—

The truth reveals- itself to the world

It’s not worth the tension, so just let it go.

I know you’re scared and want to scream

I know that every living moment is a nightmare—

But bear with us all; your friends and family

We’re here for you, so forget that.

Because pride was trapped- enclosed in a stone cold barrier

You let its voice escape into the world—

First word “I” second is “CONFESS”

You don’t need to fear anything, anymore.
