Stone Heart

The girl, hard as a stone, whispers into my ear. Quietly with the wind, her voice dances around me. Singing her quiet song, she sang long ago. Dreaming of the days, before she walked in the clouds. Sink with the sun daily, and rising with the moon. Never sleeping, always watching. Moss races on her smile, and her tears are rain. Her laughter bounces, and sorrow hangs in the air. Never a day without her, but no longer with her. Her stone fingers curl, her fingers small and pale. She breathes in the sky, and floats with dignity. Sorrow fills her eyes, but warmth in her soul.
