Stop

Stop, Take a moment to think.

To put yourself in my shoes. I can’t trust anyone, Im single, and Im failing.

All of this happened in the span of a week. I believe it started with a letter…

When I handed it to him I knew it was a mistake, the very instant he touched it.

In less than a week he left me, and we’ve avoided each other since.

I think about the moments we had in that time. All the time we had given up.

All the mistakes, memories and so on.

When we pass he doesn’t notice but I have to entirely avert my gaze.

I tend to go silent, cause I begin to remember the times when we would talk.

When he wasn’t busy, when I wasn’t as open.

What were his real reasons? He told me something and told someone something else.

Now that I think about it, he may have been honest with us both.

He may have felt that way, he may Have thought those things.

But he should’ve told me.

That relationship was that of the titanic.

A falsehood, that some thought would be unsinkable.

Little did we know that it would be gone in less than a day.

I know that I should be getting over him, I almost am. But even so, I can’t be around him

When I am I shut down. I can't function, I can only hasten with every step.

I miss those days when I could wait and smile. Talk, and joke.

Plan and write with care and ease.

Now I can barely write, every word being a crude attempt at such.
