Stop Fighting For a “Because I Love You”

Stop.

"But I love Him"

A phrase that ruined my childhood.

"But I love him"

A phrase repeated by her over an over again.

The bond between.

Unbreakable.

Only because she had already given up her entire life for him.

"But I'm happy"

Doesn't diminish the reality that their relationship is unhealthy.

It was contagious. The negativity spread like a disease.

Fighting it's way through every crack into our unweighted souls.

"But I'm happy'

Doesn't justify leaving your kids to fend for themselves.

The phrase

"But I'm happy"

And

"But I love him"

Are the reasons my childhood was stolen from me.

Forced to raise 2 innocent girls so you could to continue to be "happy".

The relationship should be without the word "but" and the beginning of the phrase.

There should be no justification needed for happiness and compassion.

Stop fighting.

There is nothing more saddening than seeing a 7 year old have a panic attack because her parents can't seem to find a medium to stop fighting.

Though, Something I've struggled with my whole life,

I never would of wished to see that fear in her eyes.

A relationship is unhealthy when the actions inside it, backfire on loved ones.

If you're relationship is breaking up your already put together family,

then you have a problem.

She keeps fighting for him to love her.

I prayed every night she's soon realize

That my late night cries

Are for her.

She's blindsided by the things he can provide for her, rather than what he's already lacking to.

Wishing everyday she could meet the guy I did.

My goal in life is to introduce everyone I meet a man I've had perfect relationship with.

There's honesty, compassion, selfless love, trust, and most importantly....forgiveness.

Sometimes I forget to listen.

Or I hear and choose to ignore Him.

Sometimes I forget to love Him.

Or I don't obey.

Sometimes I choose to not listen to the things He ask me to,

Because it seems like it will be too hard.

But He forgives me anyways.

He resides and continues to strengthen me.

Guess what.

You can have this too.

You may not know this yet.

But He already loves you.

He's already sacrificed so much for you.

When He said "Because I love you"; He also said "It is Finished".

When He said "Because I love you"; He died for you too.

When He said "Because I love you"; it wasn't to be against you.

But it was for you.

Stop fighting for a "Because I love you".

Because He already did.

He already will.

And he already won.
