Stop Glamorizing Wrestling

Stop glamorizing wrestling with huge mountains of men,
Ripping through their shorts when you see them on TV now and then.
Slamming into the mat with a thunderous jolt,
But don't worry, somehow no one is hurt.
Throwing each other through the air like an eagle taking flight,
Until a winner is declared at the end of the night.

Stop glamorizing the wrestling you see on TV
It is not real wrestling but rather WWE.
Every move and action so carefully planned out,
so there is no risk with what appears to be a rout.
Those huge muscles will cause cancer in a few years,
And the declared winner will end up in tears.

No, real wrestling is full of hard work and discipline,
Endless commitment, technique, and lots of ambition.
It is endless days of practice and drills,
It is cutting weight for hours, always working uphill.
It is fighting for six minutes, giving it all you've got
All while dehydrated, hungry, and wishing you were not.
And at the close of the day when you finally get to fight,
You still may not be the winner declared at the end of the night.
