Stop Loving

Oh bearer of eternal flame, burning ever bright and blue, I cannot simply proclaim Cessation of my love for you! For words run dry And love turns cold Ere sun blooms high Or friends grow old Thus does my earth-bound heart decry The mutters of a simple sigh: “One does not simply,” groans heart, in two pieces split, “Stop loving you.”
