To Stop Trying Is Dying

These pills don't work,

I still hurt,

I still cry.

But I will still try.

I will keep trying to make this life a better one.

No matter how far I have to run,

No matter how long I have to stay,

I will continue to try to make tomorrow a better day.

I still struggle to keep these painful thoughts at bay.

Everyday I will fight this depression,

Even after all the therapy sessions.

Some people ask," What's the point in going through life with all that pain?"

To them I say," I have to hope that the sun will still come out even after all the rain."
