Stop the Violence

Running to a corner to cry

Knowing there is nowhere to hide

The girls coming to surround her body like vultures on their dead prey

They start the name game

The words they say cut into her like a knife

All she can do is say stop and cry

She begs and begs for them to leave her alone

They don’t listen and taunt on

People walk pass and ignore the fact

This girl is a victim of bullying and can’t make a stand

Finally a teacher saves her, but it’s too late

She has a mindset that she doesn’t belong anyway

It’s time for her to go home

She walks with her head hung low and walks like she’s on a mission

She steps into her bathroom and lock the door

With silence

She picks up her trusty razor for one more time

She cuts deeper than ever in her life

But this time the pain didn’t go

She picked up the pills and they made a smile on her face

She took 1

Then 2

Then 9

Finally all 30 pills are gone.

She lays on the floor as it gets hard to breathe

She smiles and thinks no more suffering

13 year old Mikyah Johnson has now passed on to the other side

All because other kids wouldn’t be nice

A message to be learned far and wide

STOP THE BULLYING, keep are youth alive
