Stories

Your life, its temporary bumps, bruises, sighs, smiles

They can last only in memory only temporarily

They leave when you do, whether with a deep exhale or the cry of a hospital machine

They're gone like June bugs at the end of summer

They stay when you write them

They're remembered when you write them

They're celebrated when you write them

They're meaningful when you write them

When you write your story, your story isn't just a story.
