The Stories are Alive

Every wrinkle
in the old man's face
tells a story
of a simpler time

Most people see
the raisin in the sun
as just a time now passed
a useless artifact.

The stories are alive
they live and breathe
the only thing that keeps
them from their

ultimate breath
is the hope
that some wide-eyed
grandchild
will listen with intent.
