Storm

My love

For thunderclouds

And rainy nights

Is like my love

For you

Cold and depressing.

Excitement fills my vulnerable frame

While dread of the vicious sound of

Thunder clouds drive me insane.

You are so calm,

Just like rain,

But your heart is cold and rough,

Resembling the hail that fell upon my windowpane.

The deep brown of your eyes

Always light up,

Like a bolt of lightning in the sky.

Your words spin me round and round,

Like a tornado just touching the ground.

It wasn’t until I saw how your beauty

Was so destructive

When I realized you were the worst storm

And I was caught in the eye.
