Storm
Home of the everlasting storm cloud.
The lightning strikes it’s powerful bolt,
shattering her.
The mirror broke,
to shield her from her broken self.
Within her,
beauty and love.
Within her,
fear and self doubt.
Within her,
knowledge and grace.
Within her,
sorrow and trauma.
Within her,
hope and light.
The sky thunders a growl,
she seeks shelter from the coming rain.
But the shelter and sky are one.
The storm cloud follows and the growl grows.
The lightning strikes,
she makes her own rain.
There’s a sun behind the storm cloud.
Can she wait out the storm long enough to feel the sun’s warmth on her skin?
Or will the lightning strikes be too much?
Will she strive towards her light or fall under her pain?
