The Storm

She is stuck in the middle of the storm Thunder clouds rolling in Lightening cracking across the sky Rain pouring down She can’t get out She screams for this storm to end But the more she screams The harsher the storm She falls to the ground Pounding her fists in the pavement Just screaming Wanting this storm to end She wishes there was another way out Not having to deal with the storm If only she was stronger If only she could control her emotions Then the storm would end The storm is getting worse Rain is coming down hard Thunder is becoming loud Lightening is becoming light Nowhere to run Nowhere to hide Just stuck in the middle of this storm But could there be a way out? She starts to get up Brushes her hands up Tears streaming down her face She walks away from the storm Hoping it does not follow her She is trying to be stronger Trying to have faith and hope Walking away is the first step One day the storm will fade away forever No more dealing with the pain She takes one look back And there it is The sun is out No sign of a storm She finally found the strength she needs To overcome her storm.
