Storm

It's raining

(And the streets are in no condition to be driven on)

It's pouring

(And people all over the city are likely catching

coughs

colds

and pneumonia)

The old man

(Who is only forty-five)

Is snoring

(Despite the fact that if he is late for his job one more time, they'll dock his pay)

He went to bed

(At two in the morning after working for three hours on his laptop because

SOME IDIOT

In accounting messed up the new budget)

And bumped his head

(On the doorframe, where the ceiling of his cramped apartment is far too low)

And he wouldn't get up in the morning
