Storm

As the thunder's relentless roars

Fill the once silent starry sky

The restless eagle spreads its wings and soars

Releasing a piercing cry

Filled with jealousy of the beauty the trees show

Fireworks strike out like a snake to consume

All the trees tremble in fear below

To no avail all is in doom

The clashing clouds are splatters of ink

Attempting to devour one another

Their tears of pain slowly tumble over the brink

A morning full of fog smother

The bird sits on top a broken limb

A view of all that lay in sight within

Could perhaps fill eyes with waterfalls that brim

With the wind that lets out a cry feeble and thin

From the ruins of this envious act

Comes a new beginning

The forest and sky sign a pact

To leave each other in peace until next spring
