Storm Inside
Heart beat slowing to match speed of car
Pouring rain matching the tears falling down my face
Violent wind matching the feelings inside
Memories pounding in my head
Voices echoing in my ears
Pain leaking into veins instead of blood
Heart break becoming clear
Storm outside matches the storm within me
Giving in to the pain, just for a second
Letting the hurt wash over me, just for a moment
Attempting to regain control
Trying to bring the smile back
Working to be happy
The storm outside the only thing close to the storm inside
