This Storm Too Shall Pass

Something to contain what rumbles and roles in my head.

Lightning strikes when haunting memories return,

Thunder the thoughts that precede them.

The pen hits the paper,

The chaos organizes itself into symbols of what manifest in my mind

flooding the paper instead of submerging my human soul.

A soul filled to the brim with imperfections and doubt,

But dense with curiosity and a love of the word.
