Storms

Storms

Job 36:33 New English Translation (NET Bible)

33 His thunder announces the coming storm,
the cattle also, concerning the storm’s approach.

Here you come rolling downhill with a lot of racket

Lightning streaking through the sky and thunder roaring

You came announced but really not unexpected

The rain and hail you brought is now relentlessly soaring

You are washing clean and feeding the earth

It must have been really dirty if it takes this much commotion to freshen up

If this could be done with the human heart

Would it make a lasting difference or would it soon again hunger to corrupt

All the things in nature purposely make a lot of sense

And that leads many questions about human behavior

Folks are not as refreshing as they act with common “dense”

Maybe all in all, we’re built to neglect each other’s favor
